Skies are mostly cloudy early this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from around 50 in Clifton down to the low 40s further inland, winds are gusty out of the northwest.

A cold front crossed the area overnight and showers have moved offshore, today will be a sunny day with diminishing winds, temperatures will be cool with highs around 60.

Tomorrow we will have increasing cloudiness as another front moves through the area with only a slight chance of a shower.

Thursday will be a very chilly day with highs only reaching to near 50 and morning lows in the 30s, no frost is expected due to gusty winds.

A little milder on Friday and Saturday but we will have some showers on Saturday as still another cold front moves through the area.

Dry and chilly Sunday and Monday as high pressure builds in from Canada.

Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some scattered showers falling, temperatures are milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to some mid 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front will cross the area this morning accompanied by some scattered light showers, it will become milder with a brisk southwest wind developing.  A cold front crossing the area tonight may be accompanied by a line of showers and maybe a rumble of thunder.  Winds will become northwesterly and gusty behind the cold front.

Tuesday will be cooler as high pressure builds into the area, gusty winds in the morning will diminish by the afternoon.

Another cold front will come through dry on Wednesday followed by the coolest air of the season so far on Thursday, temperatures will fall into the 30s by Thursday morning but there should be no frost due to gusty winds.   Thursday’s highs will only reach near 50.

A little milder on Friday and Saturday but a cold front will cause showers on Saturday followed by more below normal temperatures on Sunday.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are chilly ranging from the low 40s in Clifton down to the mid 30s well inland where there is scattered frost, winds are mainly calm.    The 43 degree reading in Clifton this morning is the coolest temperatures since April 30th.

High pressure moving through the area will give us a pleasantly cool day, skies will be mostly sunny this morning but we should see some increase in clouds by late in the day, high temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday.

A frontal system will likely give us some showers on Monday mainly after 8 a.m., temperatures will be milder.

Mainly dry weather Tuesday through Friday with cool temperatures with Thursday being the chillest day of the week with highs only around 50.

Milder with some showers possible next weekend.

Skies have become cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures have fallen to the upper 40s in Clifton down to the mid 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.  The 47 degrees that I recorded in Clifton is the lowest temperature since May 19th.

A weak disturbance will give us some light rain this morning followed by clearing skies this afternoon, it will be chilly with most highs in the 50s.

Tonight will be chilly with readings ranging from the low 40s in Clifton to some 30s further inland, a frost advisory is in effect for northwest New Jersey and the Poconos.

Plenty of sunshine on Sunday as high pressure builds over the area, temperatures will be slightly milder and it will be a very pleasant fall day.

Milder on Monday and we will have a good chance of showers as a cold front moves through the area.

Mainly cool and dry weather Tuesday through Friday.

Much cooler today and breezy! Seasonably cool weekend with a chance of light rain tomorrow morning!

Rain is falling over the area early this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in Clifton down to the mid 50s further inland, winds are brisk out of the northwest.

The rain will be ending shortly as the remains of Tropical Storm Michael moves further out to sea.  Overnight we only had about a tenth of an inch of rain while down at the Jersey Shore up to 5 inches have fallen due to the storm.   Here in Clifton yesterday we recorded .93 inches of rainfall.

Today we should see clearing and some sunshine but temperatures will not rise much from the present readings with highs in the 60s, winds will be brisk especially this morning as Michael moves away from our area.   Tonight temperatures will fall into the 50s this evening and into the 40s for the first time this season by Saturday morning.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light rain Saturday morning followed by clearing in the afternoon temperatures will be cool.

Sunday will be a pleasant fall day with seasonably cool temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

A frontal system may give us some showers Monday followed by high pressure for Tuesday through Thursday,  temperatures will be a little above normal on Monday but fall to below seasonable norms Tuesday through the end of the week as fall weather has finally arrived.
