Dry weather for this weekend with cooler temperatures! More rain for New Year’s Eve!


Good morning!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are quite mild with readings ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to the mid 40s further inland, winds are light southwesterly.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day and it will be breezy, temperatures will hold steady from our present readings and fall slowly this afternoon, winds will gust to near 30 mph.

Sunday will be a dry and cooler day as high pressure builds over the area, temperatures will be near seasonable levels.

Another low pressure system is expected to give us rain mainly from 2 p.m. Monday afternoon until 2 a.m. New Year’s Day, expect another inch of rainfall as we close a very wet 2018.

New Year’s Day will start off mild but temperatures will slowly fall in the afternoon.

Dry weather is expected the rest of next week with temperatures at or slightly above normal.

TODAY – DEC 29 – Mostly cloudy and breezy, early high in the low 50s will fall to the low 40s by sunset.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low around 30.

SUNDAY – DEC 30 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

MONDAY – DEC 31 – Rain likely mainly after 2 p.m., high in the upper 40s.

NEW YEAR’S DAY – JAN 1 – Mostly cloudy, highs in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 2 – Partly sunny and cooler, high near 40.

THURSDAY – JAN 3 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

FRIDAY – JAN 4 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for westerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Sunday through the day on Monday; advisories likely Monday night through the day on Tuesday; no advisories expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.
