Another very hot and humid day today as high pressure moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the northwest which will give our area a west-southwest flow of air. The temperatures may be a degree or two higher than yesterday. The heat index will rise to about 110. There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm but most places will remain dry.

Low pressure will move along the front on Monday which will cause numerous showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely with higher amounts possible, a flash flood watch has been posted. Temperatures with the clouds and rain will be lower.

Showers should linger into Tuesday as the front moves slowly to our south.
