An upper level low over our area will likely produce showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening hours both today and on Wednesday, some of the storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and small hail. With more clouds, temperatures will be slightly lower than the last couple of days and the humidity will be moderate with dew points mainly in the low-mid 60s.

High pressure will then build into the area on Thursday providing us with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

The holiday weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures, however there will be a low chance of showers on Friday as a back door cold front moves through. On Independence Day there will be another chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm.

Looking ahead it is likely next week will be hot with most high temperatures in the 90s each day.

Finally after having nearly 16 days without measurable rain, it is likely we finally see some needed rainfall today as a warm front moves through the area. Southwest winds will increase by this afternoon and it will become humid with dew points rising to near 70 degrees. The best chance of rain will be late this morning and again late this afternoon into this evening. Some storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds and heavy downpours.

Sunday will be quite warm and a little muggy with again a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening as a weak cold front passes through our area.

Monday looks to be a dry day, but an upper level low in our area will give our area chances of thunderstorms each afternoon Tuesday through Friday. Temperatures during this period will average at or slightly above normal, dew points should be mainly in the mid 60s.

High pressure will control our weather again today providing our are with plenty of sunshine with warm temperatures and the humidity will still be comfortable with dew points in the 50s.

A warm front passing through Saturday morning will be followed by a cold front passing through the area Saturday night. Temperatures will be lower than we thought yesterday with highs staying in the 80s, however the humidity will rise with dew points in the 60s.

Another hot and humid day today as high pressure is offshore and a light southerly flow dominates our weather, there is a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. The chance of precipitation is 40% so most places will remain dry, we could use some rain since we have not had any measurable rain since June 11th in Clifton.

A cold front approaching from the west will pass through our area on Wednesday with again some showers and thunderstorms possible, after the front passes it will become less humid by evening.

Generally dry and warm Thursday through the beginning of the weekend but with more comfortable humidity.

High pressure offshore will continue to dominate our weather with a southerly flow of warm and humid air. There is only a slight chance of an afternoon shower with again most of the showers to the west and north of our area. Skies will be partly sunny.

Quite warm and humid weather to continue Monday through Wednesday, only a slight chance of a shower on Monday with better chances Tuesday and Wednesday as a cold front approaches our area.

Still a chance of a shower on Thursday but it will become less humid by late in the day however it will stay warm.

Warm with comfortable temperatures and humidity Friday and Saturday but humidity will start to increase by next Sunday.
