Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some light showers in part of the area. Temperatures range from near 70 in Clifton down to the low 60s further inland. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with dew points mainly in the upper 60s.

Overnight rain in Clifton measured .05″ but areas around the Edison and Woodbridge area had very heavy rain with some flash flooding.

A front in our area this morning will slide to our south today and we will have mainly cloudy skies this morning with some light showers with partial clearing late in the day. Temperatures will only be around 80 which is more than 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. The humidity will remain moderate with dew points in the 60s.

Saturday will be the nicest day of this weekend with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures and continued moderate humidity.

The front to our south will move back into our area as a warm front on Sunday which will produce more humid conditions along with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms some of which may be heavy.

Very unsettled weather Monday through Wednesday as a trough of low pressure will be along the coast and Hurricane Isaias that will be moving up the east coast. Too early for details but some heavy rain and some wind is possible in our area, so stay tuned.

Fair weather should return by later next week with seasonable warm temperatures.

One more very hot day today with plenty of sunshine and temperatures again reaching the 90s, the humidity will continue to be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

A cold front will slowly cross the area tonight with a chance of showers mainly after midnight into Friday morning, most of the showers will be just to our south. With more cloudiness on Friday and an onshore flow high temperatures will be around 10 degrees cooler than today.

Saturday looks to be the best day of this upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures.

A warm front will push through the area on Sunday with a return of humid conditions along with a chance of showers.

A trough in our area early next week will give us a good chance of showers. Also we will be tracking Tropical Storm Isaias that is now near Puerto Rico and is expected to move up the east coast.

Weak high pressure building into the area will give our area mostly sunny skies both today and on Thursday, high temperatures will still be at or above 90 but the humidity will be lower with dew points mostly in the 60s.

A weak cold front will give us a chance of showers Thursday night followed by dry weather Friday through most of the weekend. Temperatures will be seasonably warm with moderate humidity.

A front just offshore will produce some unsettled weather Sunday night through early next week with a good chance of showers though this period.

Today will be another hot day and it will be more humid than yesterday. A cold front will cross the area this evening with some scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. High temperatures in the mid 90s along with dew points around 70 will cause the heat index to rise to between 100-105 and a heat advisory is in effect.

High pressure will then build into the area tomorrow and dominate our weather into the weekend. Wednesday and Thursday will be hot but less humid. Friday through the weekend will still be quite warm but with lower humidity levels continuing.

Another cold front may set off some showers and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.

Today will be another very hot day with temperatures rising to the upper 90s, however the humidity will not be that oppressive with dew points in the 60s.

Tuesday will be a couple of degrees cooler, but the humidity levels will increase with dew points rising to the low 70s. A cold front will move through in the afternoon and night, possibly accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms some of which may be strong.

Pleasantly warm with lower humidity and mainly dry conditions Wednesday into next weekend with plenty of sunshine each day.
