Hot again today with afternoon showers and thunderstorms likely! Quite warm and becoming more humid with showers most of this week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures are warm again with readings ranging from the mid 70s in Clifton down to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light southwesterly.

Today will be another hot day, but we should likely have some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. Some of these storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and small hail. Temperatures will rise again into the 90s and the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the low to mid 60s.

Tuesday will have more cloud cover so it will not be as hot, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening.

Becoming more humid Wednesday and Thursday along with very warm to hot temperatures. There is a chance of showers on Wednesday but at this point Thursday looks to be dry.

A potential coastal storm with possibly some tropical characteristics will give us a chance of rain that may be heavy Friday into Saturday. It will continue to be very warm and humid through the weekend.

TUESDAY – JULY 7 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 10 a.m., high in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 8 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

THURSDAY – JULY 9 – Partly sunny, high near 90.

FRIDAY – JULY 10 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

SATURDAY – JULY 11 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

SUNDAY – JULY 12 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas less than 1 foot. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday; possible small craft advisories for Friday.
