Mostly sunny and milder today! Extended period of dry weather to continue through early next week, cool Thursday through Monday then warmer on Tuesday!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 28 degrees in Clifton down to a chilly 13 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light southwesterly.

High pressure building into the area will give our area a southwest flow of much milder air, high temperatures will be around 15 degrees higher than yesterday with much less wind. A cold front will cross the area tonight with winds becoming northwest and gusty by late tonight.

An unusual period of dry weather is expected through at least early next week. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny but cooler and breezy.

Cooler than normal weather is expected to continue Friday through Monday with a warming trend starting on Tuesday with 60s possible by the middle of next week.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the low 30s.

THURSDAY – MAR 4 – Mostly sunny, breezy and cooler, high in the low 40s.

FRIDAY – MAR 5 – Sunny, high near 40.

SATURDAY – MAR 6 – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

SUNDAY – MAR 7 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 8 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – MAR 9 – Mostly sunny and milder, high in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. this afternoon for southwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories expected Thursday and Friday; no advisories expected for the weekend.
