Mostly sunny and milder today with much less wind! Rain developing Wednesday morning and continuing into Thursday! Quite chilly and windy on Friday! Dry and milder weather for the weekend!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 36 in Clifton down to 25 at Walpack, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure over our area will give us a nice spring day with plenty of sunshine, light winds and mild temperatures.

A low pressure system will give our area some more rain on Wednesday which will continue into Thursday morning, some of the precipitation may mix with snow across higher elevations of extreme northwest New Jersey Thursday morning as a cold front moves through. Some clearing Thursday afternoon but it will be windy and chilly. Total rainfall will be around an inch.

Friday will be a dry but windy and unseasonably cold with highs only in the low 40s and early morning lows in the 20s.

The holiday weekend will be dry with a moderating trend as high pressure dominates our weather. Temperatures will be near normal on Saturday and rise to above normal on Easter Sunday.

At this point much of next week looks to be dry and mild.

THURSDAY – APR 1 – Showers likely in the morning then partial clearing windy and cooler, high near 50.

FRIDAY – APR 2 – Mostly sunny, windy and chilly, high only in the low 40s.

SATURDAY – APR 3 – Mostly sunny and not as cold, high in the upper 50s.

EASTER SUNDAY – APR 4 – Mostly sunny and milder, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – APR 5 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 15 knots, seas 3 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely late tonight through Friday with some gale gusts possible Wednesday night through Thursday morning; no advisories expected for Saturday.
