Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 55 in Clifton down to 46 at Walpack, winds are mainly calm.

A disturbance forming offshore will give us cloudy skies today with periods of rain. The biggest change in the forecast from yesterday is that instead of a soaking rain with 1-2 inches possible it now appears that only 1/2 of an inch of rainfall is expected. Temperatures will not rise much from our morning lows with highs staying in the 50s.

Friday will continue to be mostly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of some showers that may be mixed with snow well to our north and west. It will be a breezy day and continued cool. Rainfall amounts will only be less than 1/10 of an inch.

The weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures.

Early next week looks to be mainly dry but there is a chance of showers on Monday, temperatures will continue to be near or slightly above normal.

Today will start off mostly sunny but we should see some increasing cloudiness this afternoon with a low chance of a light shower this afternoon and evening. A weak cold front will approach from the west. Temperatures will be mild with highs well up into the 60s to near 70.

Another soaking rain is expected Thursday into Friday with 1-2 inches of rainfall expected, it will be cooler both days with highs in the 50s. Early Friday morning some of the precipitation will be mixed or chance to snow across the higher elevations well to our north and west.

The weekend should be mainly dry as weak high pressure builds into our area, temperatures will be near seasonable levels.

Mainly dry early next week but another low pressure system may give us more rain toward the middle of next week.

After a couple day of rain and cool weather, today will be a nice spring day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures rising into the low 60s as weak high pressure moves through the area.

Another significant rainfall is likely Thursday into Friday as a frontal system moves into our area. High temperatures both days will only reach to near 50 degrees and there is a chance some of the rain will be mixed with snow at higher elevations well to our north and west. The low pressure system that gave us the soaking rain yesterday will be slowly moving off the coast today. Periods of mainly light rain today and tonight along with cloudy skies. Temperatures with the clouds and an onshore flow will only reach the low 50s.

Sunshine returns on Tuesday as a weak high moves into the area, temperatures will not be as cool as today.

Mild on Wednesday but another disturbance will give us a chance of showers.

Another slow moving system will give us a good chance of rain Thursday into Friday along with cool temperatues.

A frontal system will be moving into our area today with rain developing around 9 a.m. and continuing much of today into tonight with even a thunderstorm possible this evening. Temperatures with the clouds and onshore winds will be lower than yesterday with highs near 60 which is near normal for this time of year. Rainfall amounts should be between 1/2 to 1 inch.

The low pressure system will be slow to move through our area, so Monday will be a cloudy and cool day with showers likely.
