Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. are mostly in the upper 60s. The humidity remains high and the winds are mainly calm.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JUNE 9TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 78 AVERAGE LOW: 59

RECORD HIGH: 98 – 2011 RECORD LOW: 46 – 1980

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 91 LOW: 71 PRECIPITATION: .79″

Today will be the last day of our current heatwave as the Bermuda high pressure will move further off the coast and a cold front approaches from the north. We should have partly sunny skies this morning then a good chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The storms should not be as widespread as yesterday, but there still may be an isolated strong storm with gusty winds and heavy rain. High temperatures will be near 90 and with dew points near 70 will make it another uncomfortable day.

The cold front should move through our area late tonight and Thursday should be a cooler day with much less humidity. Hopefully we clear out tomorrow morning so we can see the partial eclipse of the sun around dawn.

Friday will be dry with slightly cooler than normal temperatures.

After having weekend that were either in the 90s or 40s the past 3 weeks this weekend looks to be pleasantly warm with highs near 80 both days along with plenty of sunshine.

A chance of showers on Monday will be followed by dry weather on Tuesday, temperatures will continue to be seasonably warm.
