Good morning everyone!

Snow is falling early on this Friday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 27 in Clifton down to 20 at High Point. Winds are from the north. Around 2-3 inches of snow have accumulated so far.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JANUARY 7TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 37 AVERAGE LOW: 22

RECORD HIGH: 64 – 2008 RECORD LOW: 1 – 2018

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 40 LOW: 30 PRECIPITATION: NONE

The low pressure that is giving our area snow will be quickly moving away from the area this morning with snow ending around 9 a.m. followed by clearing by this afternoon and it will becoming breezy with seasonably cold temperatures. Total accumulation should be between 3-5 inches.

High pressure building into our area on Saturday will give us a dry and cold day with sunny skies.

A weak frontal system will cause milder temperatures on Sunday along with a chance of showers that may be mixed with sleet and freezing rain in the morning.

Arctic air will be with us Monday through Wednesday with dry conditions but it will be quite cold especially on Tuesday when highs will struggle to reach the 20 degree mark.

Not as cold at the end of next week.
