Partly sunny and cold today! A little milder on Sunday but with more wind! Mainly dry and seasonably cold weather next week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 22 in Clifton down to 14 at High Point. Winds are a little gusty out of the north-northwest.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 26TH:

RECORD HIGH: 62 – 2002 RECORD LOW: 0 – 1990

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 40 LOW: 24 PRECIPITATION: .50″ SNOW AND ICE: 0.8″

High pressure building into the area from the middle of the country will give our area a partly sunny day with cold temperatures as highs will only be in the 30s.

A southwest flow of air will provide milder temperatures on Sunday ahead of a cold front, but the winds will pick up and gust to above 30 mph. The cold front will come through late in the day with only a slight chance of flurries but most places will remain dry.

Mainly dry next week with temperatures averaging a little below normal.

Looking further ahead it looks like milder weather will be with us next weekend.
