Skies are cloudy with some light showers in some areas early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are cooler here than further inland with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 49 in Clifton up to 57 at Blairstown. Winds are calm or light easterly.

After having near record warmth along with mostly sunny skies yesterday, today will be cooler with clouds and occasional showers, with even a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm as a frontal system moves through our area. High temperatures should be in the 60s, which is still around 15 degrees above normal.

Partly sunny and seasonably mild as spring arrives late Sunday morning, it may be a bit breezy in the afternoon.

Dry weather is expected Monday and Tuesday with continued seasonably mild temperatures.

Another frontal system will likely give us rain from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Temperatures will be near normal on Wednesday and slightly above normal on Thursday.

Sunshine returns on Friday with again seasonably mild temperatures.

TODAY – MAR 19 – Cloudy with occasional showers, high in the mid 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, partial clearing after midnight, low in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – MAR 20 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – MAR 21 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – MAR 22 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 23 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely mainly after 2 p.m., high near 50.

THURSDAY – MAR 24 – Cloudy with rain, high in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 25 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 10 a.m. this morning through 6 a.m. Sunday morning for southwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue through Sunday night; no advisories expected Monday and Tuesday; advisories again likely on Wednesday.
