High pressure today will dominate our weather this weekend with sunny skies both days with rather low humidity with dew points in the 40s. Highs today will be in the low 80s but be slightly cooler on Sunday with highs in the upper 70s.

The weather will be more unsettled Tuesday through Thursday as a weak frontal system moves into our area which will cause a chance of showers during this period, temperatures will average at or slightly above normal.

A weak frontal system will give us a chance of showers mainly before 8 a.m., as the front moves offshore a high pressure will then cause clearing by this afternoon with temperatures a little above normal with highs near 80 with lowering humidity.

Beautiful early June weather for this weekend with plenty of sunshine both days. Temperatures will be above normal on Saturday and closer to normal on Sunday. The humidity will be very low with dew points in the comfortable 40s.

The nice weather should continue on Monday with continued pleasant temperatures and humidity along with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures for the month averaged around 2 degrees above normal; highest temperature was 96 set on the 31st and the lowest temperature was 42 degrees on the 8th. Precipitation was above normal with 7.29″ accumulating. The spring months of March, April and May averaged above normal in temperatures and precipitation.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. are cooler over our area with Clifton down to 59 degrees, while further inland in Sussex County readings are in the mid 60s. Winds are from the northeast.

The 96 degree temperature yesterday was a record for the date and the hottest May temperature since 1987 when it hit 97 degrees on May 30th.

The back door cold front moved to our south and west late last night and we now have a northeast flow of much cooler air. High temperatures today will be around 25 degrees lower than yesterday. Skies will be partly sunny but as the front moves back toward our area showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly from late this afternoon through this evening. Some of the storms may be accompanied by heavy downpours.

The front will move back to our north Thursday morning followed by a cold front that will cross the area Thursday night of early Friday morning. Thursday morning should be dry but showers are likely again in the afternoon with still a chance of a shower early Friday morning followed by clearing Friday afternoon.

High pressure will dominate our weather this weekend providing our area with beautiful early June weather with mostly sunny skies both days, low humidity and seasonably warm temperatures.

Continued near seasonably warm temperatures early next week, a front may give us a couple of showers Tuesday.
