Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there is some light rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures are mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 71 in Clifton down to 65 at High Point. The wind is calm or light southeasterly and the humidity is high with dew points near 70.

Our first significant rainfall in several weeks today with rain possibly heavy at times especially this morning as a warm front moves to our north. With the clouds and precipitation high temperatures will only rise to near 80 but the humidity will be high with dew points near 70. Rainfall amounts should be between 1-2 inches.
A cold front will cross the area Tuesday night giving our area a good chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, with more sunshine temperatures will be higher and the humidity will remain high.
Mainly dry weather Wednesday through the weekend with above normal temperatures and moderate humidity. The only chance of showers will be on Friday as a weak cold front moves through the area.
