Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 62 in Clifton down to 49 at Basking Ridge. Winds are calm or light westerly and the humidity is low with dew points in the 50s.

Another enjoyable late summer day today with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and continued low humidity as high pressure will be in our area.

The high will move off the coast on Sunday and we should see an increase in clouds and humidity during the day and as moisture moves up from the south there will be a chance of showers for the afternoon and night.

The frontal system will be in our area Monday and Tuesday with showers likely along with high humidity, showers may be heavy at times.

High pressure then builds into the area and will dominate our weather Wednesday through Friday, with sunshine each day along with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

TODAY – SEP 10 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – SEP 11 – Mostly cloudy and more humid with a chance of showers by the afternoon, high in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – SEP 12 – Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of showers and possibly at thunderstorm, high near 80. Showers likely at night.

TUESDAY – SEP 13 – Mostly cloudy and humid with showers likely, high in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 14 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – SEP 15 – Sunny, high near 80.

FRIDAY – SEP 16 – Sunny, high near 80.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect for high seas valid until 6 a.m. Sunday morning. Winds southerly to 10 knots, seas 4-7 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees. There is a high chance of dangerous riptides to due swell from Hurricane Earl well out into the Atlantic.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue for the day on Saturday for high seas; advisories still possible for high seas Sunday and Monday; no advisories expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
