Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures are a few degrees milder than this time yesterday with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 49 in Clifton down to 34 at Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a mostly sunny day as high pressure continues over the area, high temperatures will be about five degrees milder than yesterday.

High pressure will continue to affect our weather Tuesday and Wednesday with mild temperatures.

A strong cold front will cause rain Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning, some of the rain may be heavy at times.

Dry weather is then again expected for this upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine both days and near seasonable temperatures.

FRIDAY – OCT 14 – Chance of a shower before 8 a.m., then becoming mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – OCT 16 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.
