Sunny and mild today with light winds! Partly sunny and pleasant on Sunday! Showers likely on Monday! Dry and chilly much of the rest of next week!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and some inland areas have patchy ground fog. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 47 in Clifton down to 35 at Pequest and Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will give us a sunny day today with mild temperatures and light winds. A weak cold front will cross the area tonight with just a few clouds.

Another nice day on Sunday although high temperatures may be a couple of degrees lower than today and we also should see some increase in clouds by late in the day.

A frontal system will likely give us some mainly light showers on Monday.

Dry with much cooler air will filter into our area on Tuesday with below normal temperatures continuing much of the rest of the week.

At this point next weekend looks to be mainly dry with milder temperatures.

SUNDAY – OCT 16 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – OCT 17 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, high in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – OCT 18 – Mostly sunny and cooler, high in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 19 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

THURSDAY – OCT 20 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

FRIDAY – OCT 21 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for seas 4-6 feet. Winds will be southerly around 15 knots.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected tonight through Tuesday.
