Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and early morning temperatures range from 52 in Clifton down to 39 at Basking Ridge and Pequest. Winds are mainly calm.

Today we will have an increase in clouds as a weak high moves offshore and a frontal system approaches from the west. Temperatures will be mild with highs near 70.

The frontal system will move through the area on Monday with a chance of mainly light showers, high temperatures will be slightly lower than today.

Much cooler air moves in for Tuesday through Thursday as a trough of low pressure will be over eastern Canada and high pressure builds from the west. We should remain dry with highs each day only in the 50s.

High pressure will then dominate our weather Friday into next weekend with continued dry conditions and moderating temperatures.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly after 2 a.m., low in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – OCT 17 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly before 2 p.m., high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – OCT 18 – Partly sunny in the morning then becoming sunny and cool high in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 19 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

THURSDAY – OCT 20 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – OCT 21 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 22 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.
