Quite mild and humid with rain developing by noon as remnants of Nicole along with a strong cold front approaches our area today! Showers ending Saturday morning but staying mild! Mainly dry and much cooler and less humid on Sunday!

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures are rather mild with early readings ranging from 55 in Clifton down to 42 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

The remnants of Nicole along with a strong cold front approaching from the west will cause rain to develop around noon and become moderate to heavy in the afternoon. Strong southerly winds will gust to 35 mph tonight along with some possible thunderstorms. Overnight lows will remain in the 60s along with dew points also in the 60s. Total rainfall averaging 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches.

The rain should end around or shortly after daybreak on Saturday as the cold front moves through the area. Temperatures will continue to be unseasonably warm with sunshine by the afternoon but it will become much less humid.

Much cooler and drier on Sunday and it should remain dry.

Cool weather to continued most of next week. A weak low pressure system will give us a chance of rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. Some higher elevations inland may have a mixture of snow and rain.

TODAY – NOV 11 – Cloudy with showers mainly after noon, becoming breezy and more humid, high near 70.

TONIGHT – Cloudy and humid with showers and possibly some thunderstorms, rain may be heavy at times. Windy with gusts to 35 mph. low in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – NOV 12 – Cloudy and breezy with showers mainly before 10 a.m. then clearing and becoming less humid, high in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – NOV 13 – Mostly sunny, breezy and much cooler, high in the low 50s.

MONDAY – NOV 14 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – NOV 15 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s, chance of rain at night.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 16 – Partly sunny with a chance of rain, high near 50.

THURSDAY – NOV 17 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for southeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas building to 8-12 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Saturday morning; small craft advisories expected the rest of Saturday through Sunday night; no advisories expected Monday and Tuesday!
