CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 11TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 45 AVERAGE LOW: 28

RECORD HIGH: 65 – 2021 RECORD LOW: 6 – 1988

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 42 LOW: 28 PRECIPITATION: NONE

An area of low pressure will move into our area today with some rain and snow. The precipitation should start off as snow later this morning and quickly change to rain this afternoon but then back to snow before ending early Monday morning. Accumulations in the Clifton area should be less than an inch but up to 3-5 inches across the higher elevations of northwest New Jersey and the Hudson Valley where a winter weather advisory is in effect.

High pressure then will dominate our weather Monday through Wednesday along with seasonably cold temperatures.

Another stronger low pressure system is expected to give us precipitation Thursday into Friday. At this time it appears most of the precipitation will fall as rain but may begin and end with some snow. Winds will become gusty.

Next weekend looks to be dry and again seasonably cold.
