Mostly cloudy, breezy and much cooler today! Sunny and continue cool on Sunday! Mainly dry and seasonably cool weather next week with only a chance of mainly afternoon or evening showers Tuesday through Thursday!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures continue to be mild with readings ranging from 65 in Clifton down to 56 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light easterly.

A back door cold front moved to our south overnight and today will be much cooler after the record heat yesterday. High temperatures will be about 20 degrees lower than yesterday topping off in the low 70s. Skies will be mostly cloudy but we should remain dry.

High pressure north of Maine will give us a sunny day on Sunday with continued cool tempeatures.

Next week should should be seasonably cool but remain mostly dry, but there will be a chance of mainly afternoon or evening showers Tuesday through Thursday as an upper level low pressure will be just off our coast.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy in the evening then become partly cloudy, low in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY – JUNE 4 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 70s.

MONDAY – JUNE 5 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY – JUNE 6 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 7 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – JUNE 8 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, highs in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 9 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday evening for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 6-9 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 61 degrees.

OUTLOOK: Possible small craft advisories for higher seas on Monday; no advisories expected for Tuesday and Wednesday.
