Increasing cloudiness today with seasonably cool temperatures! Rain possibly heavy Friday into Saturday morning! Mainly warm and dry Sunday through much of next week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and early temperatures range from 51 in Clifton down to 43 at Sandyston. Winds are light from the northeast. The air quality is good with an index of 43.

High pressure will be moving offshore today and we should see an increase in clouds as a coastal low pressure slowly moves north. Some showers are possible after 8 p.m. tonight. High temperatures will be slightly below normal.

Rain and possibly some thunderstorms Friday through Saturday morning followed by clearing Saturday afternoon. Rain may be heavy at times with rainfall totals averaging 1-3 inches with higher amounts possible.

High pressure will then build into the area on Sunday and dominate our weather much of next week with dry conditions and above normal temperatures.

TONIGHT – Chance of showers after 8 p.m. then rain likely after 2 a.m., lows in the mid 50s.

FRIDAY – SEP 29 – Cloudy with rain and possibly some thunderstorms with heavy rain, highs in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – SEP 30 – Cloudy with a chance of rain in the morning then clearing in the afternoon, highs in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – OCT 1 – Sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – OCT 2 – Sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY – OCT 3 – Sunny, highs near 80.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 4 – Sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories expected with possible gales during the day on Saturday; small craft advisories likely Saturday night; advisories still possible Sunday and Monday.
