Low pressure just off our coast will rapidly intensify as it moves to off the New England coast today. Showers from this system should end by noontime followed by a strong northwest flow of cooler and much drier air this afternoon. Wind gusts to 35 mph are possible so there will be plenty of blowing leaves around. We may see some sunshine by late this afternoon.

Sunday will be a mostly cloudy, breezy and cool day, there is a slight chance of some afternoon showers mainly inland.

A period of nice fall weather can be expected much if not all of next week with plenty of sunshine each day. The temperatures will start off cool with even some frost possible Monday night mainly inland, then rise to above normal Tuesday through Friday.

The storm that caused the rain yesterday is moving offshore and intensifying as weak high pressure builds from the northwest. Cool and mainly dry weather Monday and Tuesday as a weak upper air disturbance moves through. There is a slight chance of a shower Tuesday morning but most places will remain dry.
