Mostly sunny, a bit breezy and much cooler today! Dry weather expected Wednesday through Christmas Day with seasonably cool temperatures Wednesday through Saturday then becoming seasonably mild Sunday and on Christmas!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are much cooler than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 35 in Clifton down to 29 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the southwest averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

Yesterday’s powerful storm caused heavy rain with strong gusty winds to 40 mph. Our home lost power from around 6 a.m. until noon.

Today we will have much quieter weather with mostly sunny skies and it will be a little breezy. A cold front is expected to come through dry around noon.

Dry weather is expected to continue through Christmas Day. Temperatures will be near normal on Wednesday, a little below normal Thursday through Saturday then be a little above normal for Sunday and Christmas Day.

SATURDAY – DEC 23 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – DEC 24 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 40s.

CHRISTMAS DAY – DEC 25 – Mostly sunny, highs near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday evening for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories expected to continue for high seas Wednesday night through Friday night; no advisories expected for Saturday.
