Skies are cloudy early on this last day of 2023 and temperatures continue to be above normal with readings ranging from 37 in Clifton down to 29 at High Point. Winds are from the west-northwest averaging around 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 32.

Today we will see some sunshine after early morning cloudiness, temperatures will be slightly above normal with highs mainly in the mid 40s. A weak disturbance will give us a slight chance of sprinkles or flurries this evening. The temperature at midnight tonight will be in the mid-upper 30s.

New Year’s Day will again be partly sunny with slightly above normal temperatures.

Dry weather with temperatures still a bit above normal for Tuesday and Wednesday.

A low pressure system will give us a chance of rain on Thursday but most of the precipitation should be to our south and east.

Dry, cooler and breezy Friday and Saturday as high pressure builds into the area.

Another low pressure may give us rain or snow next Sunday.
