Mostly cloudy, breezy and cool with a slight chance of showers both today and on Saturday! Partly sunny and continued cool with less wind on Sunday! Mostly sunny and milder Monday and Tuesday! Still mild Wednesday and Thursday but with a chance of showers both days!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from 36 in Clifton down to 29 at High Point. Winds are light from the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

The storm that gave us the strong winds and heavy rain is still located off the Maine coast and will cause mostly cloudy skies both today and tomorrow with a slight chance of mainly afternoon light showers. It will be breezy with some gusts above 25 mph. High temperatures will be below normal mainly in the low 50s.

Still cool on Sunday but as the low moves further away we will have less wind and somewhat more sunshine.

Monday will be milder and we should have mostly sunny skies but some broken high clouds in the afternoon for the eclipse. Highs on Monday will reach the low 60s but may actually fall to the 50s during the middle of the eclipse.

After a very mild Tuesday a back door cold front will give us cooler air on Wednesday along with a chance of showers.

Milder on Thursday but will still a chance of showers as a weak frontal system approaches our area.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, lows in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – APRIL 6 – Partly sunny in the morning then mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a chance of a shower, breezy, highs in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – APRIL 7 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 50s.

MONDAY – APRIL 8 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – APRIL 9 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

WEDNESDAY – APRIL 10 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs near 60.

THURSDAY – APRIL 11 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon for westerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories possible again for Saturday; no advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday.
