More sunshine today with lighter winds! Milder and mostly sunny for the solar eclipse on Monday! Dry and quite mild on Tuesday! Cooler on Wednesday with showers likely in the afternoon and night! Milder with showers expected Thursday and Friday!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 38 in Clifton down to 34 at High Point. Winds are light from the north-northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

The low pressure that gave us the clouds and winds the last couple of days is weakening as high pressure builds from the west. Today will be partly to mostly sunny with less wind but temperatures will still be a little below normal in the mid 50s.

Very good weather for the solar eclipse on Monday with light winds and mostly sunny skies along with milder temperatures.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and quite mild with most highs in the low 70s.

A back door cold front will move to our south Wednesday morning and the day will be cooler, also as a weak disturbance moves along the front will likely cause some showers in the afternoon and night.

Milder but with showers expected Thursday and Friday as the frontal system moves through the area. Some of the showers may be heavy at times with possibly some thunderstorms.

Dry weather most of next weekend with near seasonable temperatures.
