Mild with showers possibly heavy Thursday and Friday! Mainly dry weather for the weekend with near seasonable temperatures.

Skies are clear early on this Monday morning and with calm winds there is a rather big spread in temperatures with readings ranging from 40 in Clifton down to 28 at Sandyston and Walpack. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

The weather today will be quite good for the solar eclipse this afternoon. There is a chance of some high clouds this afternoon but it should not interfere with the viewing. High temperatures will reach the 60s but may fall to the 50s during the middle of the eclipse.

Tomorrow will be quite mild as high pressure will dominate our weather with a southwest flow of air, highs will be in the 70s.

A back door cold front will cross the area Wednesday morning and onshore flow of cooler air will develop along with a chance of showers.

More widespread showers with some heavy downpours Thursday into Friday as a strong frontal system moves through our area. Some thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures will be mild with highs in the 60s. Winds will also pick up with some gusts to 40 mph.

At this point the weekend looks dry with near seasonable temperatures.
