Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and some showers are falling mainly to our south. Temperatures range from 48 in Clifton down to 38 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of west-southwest to 30 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

A strong low pressure is located north of the Great Lakes and the cyclonic flow will cause mostly cloudy, windy and chilly conditions today with a chance of some light showers mainly before 2 p.m.

High pressure will build into our area on Sunday and it will be noticeably milder with less wind but still a little breezy. A weak cold front will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

Dry weather is expected for Monday and Tuesday as high pressure will be in our area.

Still mild Wednesday through Friday but with a chance of showers each day as a series of frontal systems will be moving through our area.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy with a chance of evening showers then becoming mostly clear after midnight, lows in the low 40s.

MONDAY – APRIL 15 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

TUESDAY – APRIL 16 – Sunny, highs in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – APRIL 17 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY – APRIL 18 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – APRIL 19 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the low 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for westerly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories expected for Sunday; no advisories expected for Monday and Tuesday; advisories possible for Wednesday.
