Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and some sprinkles are falling over parts of the area. Temperatures are milder than the last couple of mornings with readings ranging from 48 in Clifton down to 43 at High Point. Winds are mainly light from the south. The air quality is good with an index of 42.

A weak frontal system moving through our area will give us mostly cloudy skies today with mild temperatures and a chance of some light scattered showers. After the frontal passage a brisk northwest flow of much cooler air will move into our area along with clearing skies by this evening.

Thursday will be sunny and cool.

Continued dry and cool Friday and Saturday as high pressure will be in our area.

Much warmer on Sunday and there is a slight chance of a morning shower as a warm front moves through the area.

Monday will be dry and unseasonably warm with most highs in the low 80s along with partly sunny skies.

Still mild on Tuesday but another frontal system may cause some showers.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear and much cooler, lows in the mid 30s.

FRIDAY – APRIL 26 – Sunny, highs in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – APRIL 27 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – APRIL 28 – Partly sunny and warmer, highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – APRIL 29 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – APRIL 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday morning for westerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Thursday afternoon through Sunday.
