High pressure building in from the west will give us a sunny and quite warm day today but with tolerable humidity with dew points in the low-mid 60s.

Another nice summer day on Thursday with continued sunny skies during the day along with quite warm temperatures, dew points again will be in the low to mid 60s.

A weak cold front may cause an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm on Friday, it again will be quite warm with an increase in humidity.

Quite warm weather will continue over the weekend with moderate humidity. We should stay mainly dry but there is a slight chance of a shower Saturday afternoon and evening.

Very warm again early next week with only a low chance of a shower on Tuesday.

Yesterday we received much needed rainfall and although my station recorded less than an inch of rain some areas received much more with 3 1/2 inches in the Sparta area and 4 1/2 inches across Long Beach Island.

Today will be a much quieter day with mostly cloudy skies as the weak front in our area weakens. Only a low chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm. High temperatures will be a few degrees higher than yesterday and it will still be humid with dew points mainly in the upper 60s.

High pressure will then build into our area on Wednesday giving us a sunny day with quite warm temperatures.

Our first significant rainfall in several weeks today with rain possibly heavy at times especially this morning as a warm front moves to our north. With the clouds and precipitation high temperatures will only rise to near 80 but the humidity will be high with dew points near 70. Rainfall amounts should be between 1-2 inches.

A cold front will cross the area Tuesday night giving our area a good chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening, with more sunshine temperatures will be higher and the humidity will remain high.

High pressure will be moving offshore and we should see some increase in cloudiness as a slow moving frontal system approaches from the west. With more clouds temperatures will be lower than yesterday but the humidity will be higher with dew points mainly in the upper 60s. Showers and thunderstorms will likely develop mainly after midnight.

The frontal system will give us some well needed rainfall on Monday with showers and thunderstorms, some rain may be heavy at times. Rainfall amounts of around one inch with some higher amounts possible. Highs will be only around 80 but the humidity will be high with dew points near 70.

There may be a lull in the precipitation Tuesday morning but more showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon and evening as the frontal system moves offshore.
