Strong high pressure will be over our area today and then move offshore by tonight. We should have mostly sunny skies in the morning but we should see some increasing high clouds this afternoon. Temperatures will be similar than the last couple of days but with much less wind.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of some light snow showers Sunday afternoon.

High pressure will dominate our weather Monday through Wednesday with dry conditions and near seasonable temperatres.

A rather strong cold front approach our area on Christmas Even giving us mild and windy conditions with a good chance of showers followed by much colder air on Christmas Day along with a chance of snow showers.

High pressure from the west will give us mostly sunny skies today with cold temperatures with highs again only near freezing, winds will be light.

Another sunny and cold day on Saturday early morning lows will be in the mid teens and only rise to the low 30s during the day.

Not as cold on Sunday despite mostly cloudy skies.

Dry weather is expected Monday through Wednesday with temperatures at or slightly above normal.

A strong cold front is expected to give us rain on Christmas Eve that may end as snow Christmas morning as much colder air moves into our area.

Light snow is falling across the area early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 20s in Clifton down to the upper teens further inland, winds are gusty out of the north.

The coastal storm that has given us the snow and strong winds is now moving off the New Jersey coast, light snow will continue to mid morning. Snowfall has been less then what we forecasted with 6-8 inches accumulation but areas across upstate New York in the Binghamton area has received over two feet. We should accumulate another inch or so of snow before ending. High temperatures will struggle to reach over the freezing mark. Winds gusting to 30 mph this morning will diminish by late this afternoon.

Much quieter weather Friday through at least the middle of next week with only a slight chance of snow showers Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures will be below normal Friday and Saturday and then rise to near or slight above normal Sunday through Wednesday.

Looking further ahead a storm may give us rain on Christmas Eve along with mild temperatures followed by clearing and much colder and windy weather on Christmas Day.

The coastal low will develop off the Carolina coast today and move to off the southern New Jersey coast by late tonight. Skies will become cloudy this morning with snow developing around 4 p.m. and become heavy at times tonight. Accumulations now are anticipated to be a little lower than the forecasted yesterday with 12-16 inches expected. Winds will gust to 30 mph causing blowing and drifting snow and possible near blizzard conditions.

The snow will taper off Thursday morning and should end by noontime followed by clearing and cold temperatures.

Mainly dry Friday through early next week, temperatures will be below normal through Saturday and rise to near normal readings Sunday into early next week.

High pressure building into our area will give our area a sunny day today with seasonably cold temperatures. We may see some high clouds filter in late in the day.

The coastal storm that we have been tracking is expected to intensify off the Delaware coast and then move northeast. Snow from the storm will begin around 4 p.m. and become heavy at times Wednesday night before tapering off Thursday morning and ending by noon. Winds gusting to 35 mph will cause near blizzard conditions and a winter storm watch is in effect. Total accumulations is expected to be between 14-18 inches with some higher amounts possible.

Skies will clear by Thursday night and Friday through the weekend looks to be dry, temperatures will be below normal Friday and Saturday and near normal on Sunday.
