The high pressure that gave our area some very pleasant late summer weather is moving off the coast, as a possible tropical low pressure slowly moves up the coast. We should see an increase in clouds today with near seasonable temperatures. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with increasing northeast winds.

Not a very nice weekend as we start off autumn as the low pressure off the Carolina coast starts moving northward. The storm may have some tropical characteristics and may be named Tropical Storm Ophelia. The storm will cause a strong northeast flow of quite cool air with rain beginning around daybreak on Saturday and continue much if not all of the weekend. Wind gusts of 35 mph are possible with higher gusts along the coastal areas. Rain may be heavy at times especially Saturday afternoon and evening. Total rainfall amounts for the weekend will average between 1-3 inches.

Still a chance of showers on Monday as the low dissipates near our area.

At this point we should be mainly dry and cool Tuesday through Thursday.

High pressure will give us another nice day today with plenty of sunshine and seasonably mild tempertures.

As the high moves off the coast we should see an increase in the clouds on Friday, and with the clouds and onshore wind high temperatures will be a little lower than today.

A low pressure developing off the southeast coast will move slowly northward and will likely give us windswept rain possibly heavy at times over the weekend. Temperatures will be quite chilly with highs both days only in the 60s,

Except for a chance of a shower early Monday dry conditions should prevail through Wednesday with temperatures a little below normal.

High pressure over our area will give us another nice day with seasonably mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Winds will be lighter than yesterday.

The high pressure will slowly move off the coast and we should remain dry although there will be a increase in clouds on Friday. Temperatures will be near seasonable on Thursday and be a little cooler on Friday as we will have more clouds and an onshore wind.

A low pressure developing off the southeast coast will approach our area on the weekend with rain likely along with rather strong winds. Rain may be heavy at times. Temperatures will be quite cool on Saturday and a little milder on Sunday.

We should dry out early next week with near seasonable temperatures.

The storm system that gave us the rain yesterday is moving to the Canadian Maritimes as high pressure builds from the Midwest which will give us a mostly sunny day with near seasonable temperatures and low humidity.

The nice weather will continue Wednesday through Friday as the high continues to dominate.

Unsettled weather for the weekend into early next week as a low pressure off the southeast coast may develop some tropical characteristics as it slowly moves up the coast. So depending on the track we could have some showers from Saturday into early next week.

A frontal system moving through our area will give us rain which should end by the middle part of this afternoon. High temperatures will be lower than yesterday but the humidity will be higher.

An area of moisture is expected to move up the coast for the weekend with a good chance of rain especially Saturday night into Sunday.
