Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and there is some patchy fog in some areas. Quite a range in temperatures at 5:15 a.m. with a reading of 54 in Clifton down to a chilly 31 degrees at Walpack, winds are light or calm.

A strong high pressure ridge will dominate our weather this weekend with unseasonably warm temperatures with high both days rising to the mid 70s, skies will be mostly sunny both days. Record high temperatures likely.

Dry weather will continue Monday and Tuesday with unseasonably warm temperatures.

Showers are likely on Wednesday and it will be quite humid for this time of year as dew points rise to the mid 60s.

After a dry Thursday there will be a chance of showers on Friday as some of the moisture from Tropical Storm Eta moves into our area. Temperatures will be closer to normal.

Today will not be as cold and windy as yesterday but still it will be a little breezy and temperatures below normal with most highs in the low 50s. A weak front to our north will give inland areas a slight chance of a sprinkle or flurry.

A nice stretch of dry weather with above normal temperatures Wednesday through at least the beginning of next as high pressure will dominate. High temperatures will be near 60 on Wednesday and well up in the 60s to near 70 Thursday through early next week.

The month’s average temperature was 56.4 degrees which was 1.7 degrees above normal. The highest temperatures was 77 degrees on the 15th and the lowest was 29 degrees on the 31st. Precipitation was above normal with 6.09″ accumulating. We had a trace of snow on the 30th.
