Milder today with finally some sunshine but still with a chance of showers! Mainly dry weather tomorrow through Friday!

Skies are once again cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from about 60 in the Clifton area to the mid 50s further inland winds are calm.

Today we should see some sunshine although it will stay mostly cloudy as a weakening low pressure moves through the area, some showers are possible this afternoon and evening with an isolated thunderstorm, temperatures will be milder with highs in the 70s.

Remaining mostly cloudy on Tuesday with somewhat cooler temperatures..

High pressure will be in control of our weather Wednesday through Friday with mostly sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures.

The weekend weather is much in doubt as a low pressure trough approaches from the west and Hurricane Matthew possibly moving up the coast, right now we will just forecast a chance of showers.

TROPICS – Dangerous Hurricane Matthew is expected to move into the Jamaica, Haiti and Eastern Cuba area and give that area torrential flooding rains along with strong damaging winds, the storm will then reach the Bahamas on Tuesday or Wednesday, after that the track becomes more uncertain as the American model shows the storm moving up the East coast while the European has the hurricane moving well out to sea after brushing the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Have a good day!

Cloudy and cool weather to continue today! Milder tomorrow with finally some sunshine!

Skies are cloudy once again early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the mid 50s in the Clifton area to the low 50s further inland, winds are from the north.

The low pressure that has been giving us the persistent clouds and light precipitation will weaken today but overcast skies are still be over the area, there is a chance of some drizzle this morning but most of the day will remain dry.

Finally some sunshine on Monday with milder temperatures reaching the 70s, there still is a low chance of some showers.

High pressure will build in from New England on Tuesday and be in control of our weather through the end of the week giving us mainly dry conditions with seasonably mild temperatures although there may be some showers Friday and Saturday.

The hurricane is then expected to move to the Bahamas on Tuesday.  At the present time the computer models have the storm moving off the east coast but far enough to give our area any severe impacts next weekend but it will be a close call so stay tuned for any changes.

Have a good day!

Mainly cloudy weather this weekend with some light rain or drizzle! Improving conditions by Monday!

We have cloudy skies early on this first day of October and there is some drizzle in parts of the area, winds continue out of the northeast.

Today we continue to have cloudy skies with periods of light rain or drizzle likely as high pressure off the New England coast and a weakening low pressure over the Midwest dominates the weather, winds will be lighter today and precipitation amounts will be less, temperatures will be slightly milder.

The low pressure will weaken further on Sunday but we should still have a chance of light rain or drizzle but we may finally see some sunshine in the afternoon.

Finally improving weather for next week with mainly dry conditions with seasonably mild temperatures.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Sunday and Monday with possible small craft advisories for Tuesday and Wednesday.

TROPICS – Hurricane Matthew is now a dangerous category 4 storm and is located in the Western Caribbean, Matthew is expected to turn northward and cross eastern Jamaica and western Cuba, after that it is very uncertain of its path with the American model having it ride along the coast and affect our area next weekend while the European model has the storm move safely out to sea, my bets are on the European but it is too early to say if what will occur.

Have a good day!

Dreary weather to continue today through much of the weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some light showers in parts of the area, temperatures range from the mid 50s in the Clifton area to around 50 further inland, winds continue to be brisk out of the northeast.

High pressure to our north and low pressure to our south will continue to give our area a brisk northeast flow of cool air along with periods of rain today and tonight..

Cloudy skies should prevail over the weekend with showers continuing, winds will diminish, temperatures will be slightly milder than today.

We have cloudy conditions early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 50s in the Clifton area to around 50 inland, winds are from the northeast gusting to 20 mph at times.

A persistent blocking pattern with high pressure well offshore and low pressure to our south will cause cloudy skies today through the weekend with periods of rain, the heaviest rain will fall tonight into Friday, temperatures will be quite cool through Saturday rising to near normal on Sunday.

Still a chance of showers on Monday followed by dry conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday with near normal temperatures.
