The temperature in the Clifton area at daybreak is 33 degrees with light rain falling, however the surface is still cold so the precipitation is freezing on untreated sidewalks and roads so be careful if you have to go out this morning.  Further inland temperatures are below freezing with a mixture of sleet and freezing rain falling.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until this afternoon as we will have freezing rain in our area until temperatures rise into the upper 30s in the Clifton area, however inland the precipitation will continue to be freezing rain most of the day with some ice accumulation.

Clearing will take place on Tuesday but it will be cold.

After a cold morning on Wednesday temperature will moderate in the afternoon along with mostly sunny skies.

Dry weather will persist the rest of the week into the weekend with temperatures near normal Thursday through Saturday and then above normal on Sunday.

Today will be a milder day with highs about ten degrees higher than yesterday.

Monday will be a messy winter day with precipitation in the form of a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain starting before daybreak changing to plain rain in the afternoon and ending in the evening, accumulation of slop will be around an inch with slightly higher amounts further inland.

Dry but cold weather on Tuesday.

Dry weather will continue Wednesday through Saturday with near normal temperatures.

At this time next week will have mostly above normal temperatures.

We have clear skies early this Saturday morning and temperatures are quite chilly once again ranging from 13 degrees in the Clifton area to some single digits in the normally colder inland spots, winds are from the northwest around 10 mph.

Today will be another chilly day with highs only reaching the low 20s despite plenty of sunshine.

After a very cold Sunday morning temperatures will moderate in the afternoon and high temperatures will be around ten degrees higher than yesterday.

Monday will be a messy winter day as moisture from the south moves into the area, look for a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain to arrive around daybreak and may change to plain rain in the afternoon changing back to snow before ending Monday evening.  At this time it looks  like the Clifton area will receive less than a inch of frozen precipitation but inland a couple of inches of snow and sleet may accumulate.

Becoming sunny on Tuesday but temperatures will be cold once again.

Sunny on Wednesday with moderating temperatures.

A storm is expected to develop off the southeast coast on Thursday, at this time it appears it will be too far south to affect our weather but still it is a system to watch.

It is cloudy at daybreak this morning and a few light flurries are falling in Clifton, temperatures are more than ten degrees higher than this time yesterday morning with most readings in the teens.

A band of snow showers will move through the area ending by around 10am, accumulations will be around an inch in the Clifton area to slightly higher amounts across the Hudson Valley in New York.  Skies will clear this afternoon but it will be windy, temperatures may reach close to the freezing mark.

It will be a dry weekend, temperatures will be quite chilly on Saturday, moderating somewhat on Sunday.

A disturbance will give us a chance of mixed snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain on Monday, at this time it appears that most of the precipitation will be light.

We have clear skies early this morning and the temperature in Clifton has fallen to 4 degrees which is the coldest here since last January 23rd, the coldest temperature in New Jersey early this morning is -3 degrees at High Point, the winds have diminished from last night so wind chills are not as harsh.

Today will be very cold but with lighter winds and mostly sunny skies.

A weak disturbance Friday morning will give us some snow showers, there may be a dusting of accumulation, low temperatures will be around 10 degrees higher than this morning.  Gradual clearing by Friday afternoon, it will be breezy but high temperatures will reach the low 30s.

Saturday will be dry and very cold as another surge of Arctic air moves into the area, temperatures however will not be as frigid as today.

Moderating temperatures on Sunday and we should stay dry.

Unsettled weather Monday through Wednesday as a few disturbances move into the area giving us a chance of snow or rain each day, high temperatures during this period should be in the 30s.
