Big range in temperatures as we are in the low 20s in the Clifton area but many inland areas have dropped down to the low teens and even the single digits. Skies are mostly clear and we have light winds.

A warming trend will continue as temperatures will reach the 40s for the first time in nearly two weeks, skies will be partly cloudy.  Tonight will be milder than the last few nights.

Friday we will have partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching the 50 degree mark.

Even milder on the weekend with 50s on Saturday and reaching well up into the 60s to even near 70 degrees on Sunday.  Chances of rain increase from Saturday night through Sunday night.

A cold front will push through the area on Monday, it will start off mild but cool off as the day goes on, early showers will give way to clearing.

Skies are partly to mostly cloudy in the area with temperatures mainly in the upper teens in the Clifton area but ranges as low as the single digits further inland. I recorded 2 inches of snow yesterday, higher amounts were reported inland.  Be aware of black ice on untreated roads and sidewalks this morning.

Today skies will become mostly sunny with high temperatures nearly 10 degrees higher than yesterday.

Warming trend continues tomorrow through the weekend with highs in the 40s tomorrow and rise to near 50  by Friday with some record breaking 60s by Sunday.  Along with the warm weather shower chances increase Friday night into the weekend with the best likelihood of rain will be on Sunday.

After a cold frontal passage on Monday, cooler weather will move into the region but it will not be as harsh as we have experience the last 10 days.  The snow pack should be all gone after this warm spell and the chances of a white Christmas are very low.

My long range forecast for Christmas Day is for dry conditions with highs in the low 40s.

Snow started in the Clifton area shortly before 5am and there is a coating on the ground as of 6am with a temperature of 21 degrees.

Today we will have periods of mainly light snow that should mostly be over by 4pm.  I am expecting around 2-4 inches of the white stuff.

Wednesday skies will clear and we will have seasonably cold temperatures.

Milder trend starting on Thursday and extending into the weekend, the warmest day appears to be on Sunday when temperatures will approach the 60 degree mark. Chances of rain increase from Friday night into next Monday morning.

Looking ahead to Christmas Day right now I will forecast partly sunny with a high near 40 degrees.  Also with this thaw coming this weekend I doubt we will have a White Christmas.

Outlook – Conditions lower to below advisory levels Wednesday night but advisories may be needed once again Thursday through Saturday with a strengthening southwest flow.

Temperatures this morning are mainly in the low 20s with partly cloudy skies, winds are gusting at times to 20mph making feel colder.  Watch for black ice on untreated roads and sidewalks from any standing water that froze overnight.

Today will be quite cold with highs only reaching the freezing mark, gusty winds will continue to make it feel colder especially this morning.

More snow is in the forecast for Tuesday as a weak storm moves in from the west, snow should start around daybreak and continue into the middle of the afternoon.  Most of the snow will be light with accumulations in the 2-4 inch range.

Drier and seasonably cold weather on Wednesday.

The storm that gave our area the snow and ice is moving away and we will have clearing skies today.
I recorded 5.5″ of snow and ice here in Clifton with most areas having 5-8 inches but up to 10 inches in parts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Temperatures now are in the upper 20s but should rise to above freezing later today with the sunshine.
Monday another surge of cold air will move into our area but we should remain dry.
A weak disturbance may give us some light snow or rain on Tuesday followed by clearing and cold weather on Wednesday.
Warming trend starting Thursday and lasting into the weekend with some rain showers possible Friday night into Saturday.
