Temperatures continue to be above normal with readings ranging from 37 in Clifton down to 29 at High Point. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 65.

A weak front will cause mostly cloudy skies today with light winds, high temperatures will be in the low-mid 40s.

High pressure will give us dry conditions with continued slightly above normal temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday.

A storm system is expected to develop well to our south and east on Thursday, so the day will be dry, but as the storm moves off the New England coast it will cause breezy and colder conditions Thursday night into Friday.

After a dry and chilly Saturday a storm system will likely give us rain or snow on Sunday. Too early to determine the path and strength of the storm but it is possible that we will have our first measurable snowfall of the season.

The heavy rain has ended with just over 2 inches falling overnight causing some flooding. Temperatures early on this Thursday morning range from 48 in Clifton down to 43 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are mainly from the northeast averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 25.

The low pressure that gave us the heavy rain overnight is moving off the Maryland coast but an upper level low will continue to give us cloudy skies with occasional light rain and drizzle. High temperatures should be in the 50s.

Still a chance of showers on Friday as the upper level low moves further offshore. Continued mild with highs in the 50s.

High pressure building into the area will cause dry conditions Saturday through at least the middle of next week. Temperatures will be cooler but will average slightly above normal as no frigid Arctic air is in sight for our area.
