Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. are around 10-15 degrees milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 57 in Clifton, down to 40 at Walpack. Winds are light from the west to southwest.

High pressure to our south will give us a mild west-southwest flow of unseasonably mild air today and tomorrow, high temperatures will reach the upper 70s and some record highs are possible in our area both days. Skies will be mostly sunny.

A weak cold front is expected to come through dry on Friday with highs a little lower than today and Thursday but remain well above normal.

The weekend will be cooler with near normal temperatures. There will be a low chance of showers on Saturday but Sunday should be dry.

Cool weather is expected early next week with a chance of showers both Monday and Tuesday as a couple of troughs moves through our area.

After a cool start today will be milder with less clouds and wind, high temperatures will be around 5 to 10 degrees higher than yesterday.

Dry and quite mild Wednesday through Friday as high pressure in the southeast states gives us a warm southwesterly flow of air. High temperature all three days should be in the 70s which is 10-15 degrees above normal.

Cooler on the weekend and there is a chance of showers on Saturday as a weak disturbance moves through our area followed by high pressure building into our area on Sunday.

These temperatures are cool but not as cold as on this date in 2015 when the temperature dropped to 31 in Clifton down to 20 at Walpack.

Today will be another cool and breezy day with high temperatures only reaching to around 60 with wind gusts to 28 mph. Skies will be mainly mostly sunny in the morning but with a little more clouds in the afternoon with only a slight chance of a sprinkle.

After a cool start tomorrow morning temperatures will moderate by the afternoon as high pressure builds into our area. It will still be a little breezy but skies will be mainly sunny all day.

As the high pressure moves off the coast a southwesterly flow of quite mild air will be with us Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front passing through our area Thursday night will give us a chance of some showers.

At this point the upcoming weekend looks dry but chilly, some areas to our north and west may have the first frost of the season.

The cold front that caused the showers yesterday has moved well offshore and high pressure in the middle of the country builds eastward. Today will be mostly clear in the morning but we should see an increase in clouds this afternoon along with a chance of some sprinkles. High temperatures will be more fall like with highs in the 60s.

Tomorrow will also be breezy and we again will have mostly clear skies in the morning but with increasing clouds in the afternoon along with another chance of sprinkles.

After a cool morning on Tuesday a more southwesterly flow will bring milder air in the afternoon.

Wednesday through Friday look to be dry with above normal temperatures but not as warm as what we experienced the last few days.

Cooler again next weekend and we should stay rain free.

A southerly flow of unseasonably warm air will be with us today ahead of a strong cold front that will pass through early this evening accompanied by showers and possibly a strong thunderstorm mainly from 6-8 p.m. The front will be followed by much cooler air later tonight.

Those who like fall weather, your time has come, as temperatures on Sunday will be slightly below normal, which will feel cold compared to the well above normal temperatures we have had so far this month. High temperatures will be only in the low 60s and it will be breezy. Skies will be mostly cloudy.

Mainly dry weather next week. Monday and Tuesday will be cool, but milder air is expected Wednesday through Friday. The only chance of showers will be ahead of a cold front Thursday night into Friday followed by cooler weather for next weekend.
