Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures are still mild with readings ranging from the low 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland. Winds are light northerly and the dew points have slowly dropped into the upper 60s.

Yesterday most of the rain in Clifton was in the morning with only a brief shower in the evening while areas just to our south and east received over 2 inches of rain.

A cold front is moving offshore as high pressure to our west builds into the area. Skies will become mostly sunny, temperatures will be seasonably warm but the dew points that were in the 70s yesterday will fall into the 50s by this afternoon.

Saturday will be a fall like day with seasonably cool temperatures along with low humidity as high pressure continues over the area.

The main change in the forecast is lowering the chances of rain as models show a weakening front moving through the area and we should avoid any heavy rain on Sunday.

Fair weather should return by Monday and it will likely be the coolest air of the season by Tuesday morning.

Dry weather should persist Wednesday into Thursday with a slight warming trend.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been issued effective between noon today until 6 p.m. Saturday evening for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories are likely to continued Saturday night through the day on Sunday on Sunday; no advisories expected Sunday night through Monday; advisories expected the rest of next week for high seas due to what is to become Hurricane Paulette moves well off the east coast.

A trough of low pressure along with a cold front approaching from the west will cause numerous showers and possibly some rumbles of thunder. There may be a lull in the showers around midday but should return later in the afternoon and this evening. It will be quite humid with dew points in the 70s. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are expected.

The front will move offshore early Friday morning and high pressure will build into the area from the Great Lakes giving us much less humid air during the day Friday into Saturday along with mostly sunny skies both days.

Another frontal system will likely give us more rain on Sunday that again could be heavy at times.

The rain should end by Monday morning followed by pleasantly cool and dry air into at least the middle of next week.

Today will be a partly to mostly cloudy day it will be a little more humid than the last few days and temperatures will be warm with highs mainly in the 80s. High pressure is moving off the New England coast.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night preceded and accompanied by some showers. It will be humid with dew points in the low 70s but the temperatures will be a little lower than today due to more cloud cover.

High pressure will build into the area giving us mainly dry and cool conditions Friday and Saturday.

A frontal system will give us a good chance of rain on Sunday that may be heavy at times with the possibility of an inch or two of rain.

After early showers on Monday high pressure will build into the area with dry and seasonably cool conditions into the middle of next week.

High pressure off the coast will continue to give our area mostly sunny days both today and on Wednesday, temperatures will be seasonably warm and the humidity will be low to moderate.

A cold front approaching the area on Thursday will give our area a chance of showers, it will be warm and humid. The front will cross the area late Thursday night.

Friday and Saturday look to be cooler and less humid with dry conditions both days.

A frontal system moving into our area on Sunday will give our area a chance of rain which may be heavy at times.

Very nice weather to continue today as high pressure will dominate our weather again today with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Thursday and Friday there will be a chance of showers and it will be continue to be warm and humid as a slow moving cold front approaches the area and moves offshore late on Friday.

Mainly dry during the day on Saturday but another front may cause some showers Saturday night into Sunday.
