Near record breaking heat today!

The average high for this time of year is around 60 degrees which was actually the overnight low! Temperatures are on the rise with a southwest flow, will be kind of humid with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees in some spots nearly 30 degrees above normal. The record high for April 16th in Newark is 92 degrees and we may come close…

Tuesday a cold front will come through in the morning, no rain with the front, with sunshine temperatures will be around 80 degrees but it will be much less humid on northwest winds.

It will become much more seasonable by Wednesday morning with lows back down into the 40s..

Wednesday should be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s..

Very pleasant Thursday with mostly sunny skies and a high near 70.

This pleasant weather will continue into Friday again with a high near 70, increasing clouds Friday night..

After a very dry week the chances of rain increase for this coming weekend. Saturday will have a chance of showers but even a better chance on Sunday as a low pressure will develop along the Southeast coast and move north into our area maybe giving us a soaking rainstorm. Highs on Saturday in the upper 60s cooling off on Sunday with highs in the low 60s..

I want to thank Jack one of my “former” co-workers for suggesting that my posts should be available on Facebook and with the help with my computer expert son Jared the posts will be also automatically be on my Facebook wall…

And happy birthday to my #1 daughter Jessica who is now as old as I feel..

A warmer and more humid Sunday!

Looks like we missed the much needed rain overnight as when the showers moved toward the area they dissipated so at best we ended up with maybe a sprinkle or two!
We do now have much higher humidity as the dew points moved from the very dry 20s to the muggier 50s, there will be clearing later today and along with the higher humidity temperatures will also be a few degrees higher approaching 80 degrees.

Monday will be the warmest day of the week with mostly sunny skies and high readings in the mid to upper 80s.

Tuesday will still be warm but a front will cross the area and it will be less humid by the afternoon..

Wednesday through Friday at this time look dry with highs mostly in the upper 60s.

Next weekend we may have the first significant rainfall in weeks as the last few computer model analysis show a storm that will move up from the southwest, as of right now Saturday looks the wettest day!

Warmer weather this weekend!

Temperatures will be on the rise this weekend, today we will have mostly sunny skies during the day with a high in the low 70s.

Clouds increase tonight with a 50% chance of showers as a warm front moves through, milder with lows in the 50s.

Sunday after early morning clouds and showers it will become partly sunny with highs approaching 80 degrees..

Monday will be the warmest day with mostly sunny conditions and a high at least in the mid 80s, some places may hit that 90 degree mark.

Tuesday a front will come through with a chance of showers, highs still in the upper 70s.

Wednesday through Friday will be more seasonable with highs in the upper 60s, the only chance of showers will be on Wednesday..

Not much rain the last several weeks, this upcoming week despite a chance of showers most of the rain will be light and widely scattered however looking at the long range computer models next weekend we may see some significant rain.

Weather is rather tranquil here compared to the middle of the country where there is a very high risk of large and life threatening tornadoes today.

Very pleasant Friday the 13th, warmup coming for the weekend!

After a cool start this morning the sun will warm temperatures up to the mid to upper 60s.
