Indian summer weather today and Thursday! Cooler but not cold air for Friday and Saturday!


Skies are clear early this Wednesday morning and with light winds there is a large range of temperatures with the mild upper 50s here in Clifton to around 40 in the cooler inland valleys.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures reaching the mid 70s on a light westerly flow around a strong high pressure to our south.

Another nice indian summer day on Thursday with mild temperatures continuing.  A cold front will be crossing the area Thursday night that may touch off a light shower.

Cooler for Friday and Saturday with temperatures slightly below normal temperatures.

More cloudiness on Sunday with another low chance of showers as another cold front moves through our area.

Dry with near normal temperatures early next week.  No widespread rain is expected through the next several days.

Skies are mostly cloudy early this Tuesday morning and temperatures are nearly 15 degrees warmer than this time yesterday ranging from the mid 40s in Clifton to around 40 further inland, winds are light.

Today will be much warmer despite some mid to high cloudiness, temperatures will be more than 15 degrees above what we had on Monday reaching close to the 70 degree mark.

Outstanding fall weather will continue Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 70s.

A weak cold front will cross the area Thursday evening giving us a slight chance of a shower but most areas will remain dry, the front will be followed by cooler weather for Friday and Saturday but no where near as cold as we experienced the last few days.

Slightly milder on Sunday ahead of another cool front that again will give us a slight chance of a shower.

Looking ahead for next week the models are suggesting a wetter pattern with near seasonable temperatures.

One more last unseasonably cold day! Much milder tomorrow! Dry weather pattern to continue!


Skies are mostly clear early this Monday morning and temperatures are very cold once again, ranging from around 30 degrees in Clifton to the low 20s further inland, the lowest temperature in the state now is 21 degrees at Pequest in northwest New Jersey, winds are light.   With the freezing temperatures the last couple of mornings the growing season has ended for almost all of our area.

Today we should see more in the way of sunshine with much less clouds than yesterday which produced some snow flurries mostly inland, temperatures should be a couple of degrees milder than on Sunday but still be around 10-15 degrees below normal of this time of year.  High pressure will be over the eastern part of the country.

The high pressure will move to our south on Tuesday with a return southwest flow of much milder air reaching near 70 degrees, skies will be mostly sunny.

Dry with quite mild temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night bringing cooler weather for Friday and Saturday, it will continue to be dry.

A little milder on Sunday with only a slight chance of a shower.

Freezing temperature this morning with a hard freeze again tonight! Warming trend starting Tuesday!


Skies are mostly clear early this Sunday morning and temperatures have fallen to the freezing mark in Clifton with the 20s being observed across many inland areas, with a very cold 20 degrees being reported in Walpack in northwest New Jersey, winds are light.

Today will be another chilly day and despite plenty of sunshine temperatures will struggle to reach the 50 degree mark.

Very cold again tonight with another hard freeze likely, many areas will drop down well into the 20s.

Monday will be sunny once again, temperatures will be a couple of degrees milder reaching the low 50s.

Much milder air will move into the area on Tuesday with highs about 15 degrees higher than on Monday.

Quite mild Wednesday and Thursday.

A little cooler Friday into the weekend, it appears that we will continue to be dry throughout the entire week.

Skies are mostly clear early on the Saturday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton to the low to mid 30s further inland, winds are light.

Today we should see an increase of cloudiness and it will be breezy, high temperatures will only reach the mid 50s which is around 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Tonight will be quite chilly with lows just above freezing in the Clifton area with some below freezing temperatures further inland where freeze warnings are in effect.

Sunday will continue to see considerable cloudiness with even cooler temperatures with highs struggling to reach the 50 degree mark.

Sunday night will be cold with freezes in much of the area, Monday will be slightly milder with plenty of sunshine but still well below normal.

A warming trend will begin on Tuesday and last through the rest of the week.  It will continue to be dry through the next several days with no precipitation expected.

Skies are mostly cloudy early this Friday morning and there are some showers across the Poconos into extreme northwest New Jersey, temperatures range from around 50 in Clifton to near 40 further inland, winds are light.

A weak cold front will be crossing the area this morning that will give us some cloudiness and a possible shower this morning mainly inland, clearing will take place by this afternoon and temperatures even behind the front will still be seasonably mild.

A stronger cold front will cross the area on Saturday but will come through with no precipitation, the front will be followed by the coldest air of the fall so far, high temperatures will be more than 10 degrees colder than today and drop off to the 30s by Sunday morning, it will also be breezy, freezing temperatures are likely especially inland.

Cold air will continue Sunday and Monday and Sunday night may be even colder than Saturday night.

Dry weather will continue the rest of next week with a nice warming trend.

Congratulations to the New York Mets for winning their season against the Dodgers last night, they will play a best of seven series starting Saturday night in New York against the Cubs and it will be mighty cold and breezy for both the Saturday and Sunday night’s games at City Field.

We have mostly fair skies early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler than this time yesterday ranging from the low 40s in Clifton to the mid 30s in the colder suburbs, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have sunny skies with seasonable temperatures as high pressure will be in our area.

A cold front will be passing through on Friday we should see an increase in clouds tonight into early Friday becoming partly sunny during the day, temperatures will be a bit above normal.

Another cold front will come through dry on Saturday followed by the coldest air of the season, highs will only be in the 50s Saturday through Monday and overnight lows will be well down in the 30s Sunday and Monday mornings with below freezing temperatures expected across much of the inland areas.  No precipitation is expected.

Continued dry with a warming trend starting Tuesday and lasting through much of next week.

Clear skies and calm winds has caused temperatures to be quite cool again this morning with readings ranging from the upper 40s in Clifton to the upper 30s inland.

Temperatures will rise quickly after sunrise this morning and with plenty of sunshine we will become quite mild again with highs well up into the 70s.

A cold front will be crossing the area tomorrow which will give us a chance of some light showers, temperatures will still be mild.

Somewhat cooler and dry Wednesday and Thursday.

Another cold front will give us a chance of showers on Friday.

The coldest air of the season is likely this upcoming weekend with highs mostly in the 50s and overnight lows in the 30s with the first freeze possible inland.  No significant rainfall is expected the next several days.
