Becoming mostly sunny and mild today! More clouds and continued mild on Tuesday! Showers likely Wednesday morning!

Good morning!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and some overnight showers have moved off the coast, it is mild with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s in Clifton down to 40 further inland, winds are light from the north.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR APRIL 6TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 57 AVERAGE LOW: 39

RECORD HIGH: 81 – 2010 RECORD LOW: 18 – 1982 (along with 12″ of snow)

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 64 LOW: 45 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A cold front crossed the area overnight which caused some light showers, this front will move offshore and we will have much drier air move into the area. Not much cold air behind the front so with sunshine the temperatures will rise well up into the 60s.

Another nice day on Tuesday with high pressure over the area although we should see an increase in clouds.

A weak front will likely give us some showers Wednesday morning followed by clearing.

A stronger front will give us a chance of showers on Thursday followed by windy and much cooler air Thursday night into Friday.

At this point the weekend looks to be seasonably cool, it should be mainly dry but there is a low chance of a shower on Easter Sunday.

Ah memories of 1982… we had a flight to Jacksonville to go visit Shari’s family in St. Augustine .. along with our one day trip to the Magic Kingdom.. All flights cancelled out of Newark due to the nasty blizzard.
After an overnight stay as ‘distressed passengers’ at a nearby hotel we flew standby the next morning to Fla.
    The boys (10 & 7) first flight !
