A frontal system approaching from the west will give us cloudy skies and it will be mild as winds will be southerly. Showers with the system will develop mainly after 3 p.m. with heavier showers and possibly a thunderstorm tonight.

The cold front with the system will come through late tonight and colder air will filter into our area on Thursday. Some showers will continue to early afternoon that may mix with snow across the higher elevations of extreme northwest New Jersey. Total rainfall amounts will average between 1 and 1 1/2″

Friday will be a mostly cloudy day and it will be breezy and unseasonably cold with overnight lows in the 20s and only rise to the low 40s during the day.

High pressure over our area will give us a nice spring day with plenty of sunshine, light winds and mild temperatures.

A low pressure system will give our area some more rain on Wednesday which will continue into Thursday morning, some of the precipitation may mix with snow across higher elevations of extreme northwest New Jersey Thursday morning as a cold front moves through. Some clearing Thursday afternoon but it will be windy and chilly. Total rainfall will be around an inch.

Friday will be a dry but windy and unseasonably cold with highs only in the low 40s and early morning lows in the 20s.

The holiday weekend will be dry with a moderating trend as high pressure dominates our weather. Temperatures will be near normal on Saturday and rise to above normal on Easter Sunday.

The storm that gave us the rain and some strong winds yesterday has moved to eastern Canada while high pressure builds from the Midwest. The pressure gradient between these systems will give us a strong northwest flow of cooler air with some wind gusts to 45 mph; a wind advisory is in effect. March is normally a windy month but this year it has been especially brisk. Winds will considerable lower after sunset.

Tuesday may be the nicest day of this week with plenty of sunshine, milder temperatures and much less wind than today.

Another in a series of low pressure systems will give us rain Wednesday tapering off to showers on Thursday and as colder air moves into the area some of the showers will be mixed with snow, especially over the higher terrain of extreme northwest New Jersey.

Friday looks to be unseasonably cold and quite windy with highs only in the low 40s and morning lows in the 20s.

At this point Easter weekend looks to be dry with near or slightly below normal temperatures on Saturday and near or slightly above normal temperatures on Easter Sunday.

After the front colder and drier air will filter into our area along with strong winds up to 45 mph into Monday with another wind advisory in effect.

Another frontal system will give us rain mainly from mid morning on Sunday into Sunday night with rainfall amounts of around an inch. There also will be a chance of thunderstorms.

The coastal low pressure yesterday gave us more rain than expected with just over an inch. This low is moving further offshore but some moisture is causing fog this morning. The fog will dissipate this morning and it will be partly sunny and warm with highs mostly just above 70 degrees.

A frontal system will likely give us showers Friday morning with a possible rumble of thunder. We should see clearing by Friday afternoon, and it will become windy and warm with highs well up into the 70s ahead of a cold front that will cross the area Friday afternoon, some record highs possible.

The weekend will be cooler but still mild with highs in the 60s. Saturday will be the nicest day of the weekend then a low pressure system will likely give us more rain on Sunday.

The nice stretch of dry weather will come to an end today as weak low pressure to our south and another stronger low pressure now over Iowa, will give us mainly cloudy skies with rain developing. The rain should begin around 4 p.m. and end around 10 p.m. with rainfall amounts about half of an inch.

Thursday will start off cloudy with some fog but become mostly sunny and warm as weak high pressure moves into the area. Temperatures should rise into the low 70s.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers during Friday morning followed by clearing and becoming windy. With enough sunshine temperatures will rise well up into the 70s with a brisk westerly wind with gusts to 35 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday will be the best day of the upcoming weekend with high pressure in control. Temperatures will be lower but still above normal with highs mainly in the 60s.

High pressure just off the coast will give us another mostly sunny and mild day today with light winds and highs in the 60s.

Yesterday at this time it looked like tomorrow would be dry but now a pesky low pressure off the coast and a low in the Great Lakes will cause cloudy skies with rain likely in the afternoon and evening, Rainfall amounts will be around a quarter of an inch.

Warm Thursday and Friday but a frontal system will give us a good chance of showers late Thursday night into Friday.
