One day more of excessive heat and humidity as the Bermuda high pressure continues to dominate our weather. High temperatures will again be well up into the 90s and with the humidity will cause heat indexes to rise to near 110. An excessive heat warning is in effect. There is a better chance of late day and early evening showers and thunderstorms with some storms possibly strong to severe.

The Bermuda high pressure will be moving further offshore and a cold front will cross our area Thursday night with showers and thunderstorms with some heavy rain likely. With the clouds and precipitation temperatures will not be as hot, but the humidity will only slowly decrease.

Showers will continue to be likely on Friday with some heavy rain again possible, high temperatures will only rise to the upper 70s.

Some showers are still possible Saturday and Sunday with below normal temperatures.

Monday looks to be the best day of the holiday weekend with more sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures.

Hot weather may return for the middle of next week.

The Bermuda high pressure ridge will give us another very hot today today and on Wednesday with some record highs again possible. With dew points in the low 70s will cause the heat index to rise to above 105 degrees. There is a somewhat better chance of some afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms, although much of the area will remain dry. The amazing record heat in the northwest part of the country continued yesterday with many all time high temperatures. Lytton in British Columbia set another heat record for the country of Canada with a high of 118 degrees. Seattle and Portland also had their all time record highs. The coastal areas there should be cooler today but inland areas will just be as hot.

Thursday and Friday here will feature a cold front slowly moving through our area which will cause lower temperatures and will be accompanied by showers that may be heavy at times.

The holiday weekend’s weather is still rather unclear with shower chances continuing. Temperatures will be below normal Saturday and Sunday but rise to near normal on Monday.

The Bermuda high pressure ridge will continue to pump hot and humid air into our area through Wednesday with highs each day in the mid to upper 90s and with dew points at or just over 70 will cause the heat index to rise above 100 degrees. A heat advisory remains in effect. Only a slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm today, but a somewhat better chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Although it will be hot in our area the Pacific Northwest is having record heat, Portland and Seattle had the hottest tempertures ever recorded and Lytonn in British Columbia had their highest temperature ever for the nation of Canada with a high of 116 degrees.

A cold front will slowly approach and cross our area on Friday preceded and accompained by showers and thunderatorms both Thursday and Friday. Temperatures with the clouds and rain will be lower but the humidity will remain on the high side.

At this point the holiday weekend looks to be unsettled as the front will still be close to our area so showers are possible along with cooler temperatures.

Today will be the start of a heat wave as the Bermuda high pressure dominates, giving our area a southerly flow of hot and humid air today. Yesterday showers were more widespread than forecasted, but although there is a slight chance of a shower today the high pressure will be strong enough to keep most of the area dry.

Very hot weather Monday through Wednesday as the Bermuda high continues to dominate. Only a slight chance of a shower on Monday but a better chance of afternoon and evening showers Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs through this period will be in the mid 90s and with dew points above 70 will cause heat indexes to rise to over 100, a heat advisory is in effect.

Not as hot but staying humid Thursday through the beginning of the holiday weekend as a cold front will be in our area. Showers and thunderstorms are likely; some of the rain may be heavy at times.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day as high pressure moves off the coast and a southerly flow. High temperatures will be in the 80s but the humidity will be high.

The Bermuda high pressure ridge will dominate our weather Sunday through at least the middle of next week and will produce a southwesterly flow of hot and humid air. High temperatures through the period will be in the 90s and overnight lows will only drop into the 70s. The humidity will also be high with dew points near 70.

The chances of afternoon and evening showers increase through the week but Sunday and Monday should remain dry.
