Today will be cloudy but much milder ahead of a cold front that will cross the area this evening possibly touching off some afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

High pressure will then build into the area on Tuesday giving us a mostly sunny day with quite mild temperatures.

A warm front will cross the area Wednesday morning with possible showers followed by mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures with highs in the 80s. There will again be a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

A frontal system will be moving into our area today, there may be a brief break in the rain this morning but more frequent periods of rain is likely this afternoon into tonight. With the clouds, rain, and onshore wind, high temperatures will only be in the 50s.

High pressure will then build into the area on Monday and it will be noticeable warmer with highs well up into the 70s, despite having mostly cloudy skies.

Tuesday looks to be a mostly sunny and warm day with highs again well up into the 70s.

Another frontal system will likely give us showers on Wednesday with a few thunderstorms possible, temperatures will continue to be warm with highs near 80.

Unsettled weather with showers at times along with cooler temperatures Thursday through next weekend as a weak front will be to our south with low pressure disturbances moving along this front.

High pressure will be moving off the New England coast today with a cool onshore flow. We should be dry during the day but a frontal system approaching from the west may cause some showers late tonight.

Much milder Monday and Tuesday as winds become more westerly, highs both days should be in the 70s.

After having the warmest day of the year yesterday, today will be much cooler as high pressure to our north gives us an onshore flow. High temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday but be near normal for this time of year.

The high pressure will weaken on Saturday and we should see mostly cloudy skies. With a continued onshore flow high temperatures will be slightly below normal.

A frontal system will likely give us showers on Sunday and with the rain and a continued onshore flow, highs will only rise to the upper 50s

Milder next week, but with a front near by there will be a chance of showers mainly Tuesday night through Thursday. Most highs during the week will be in the 70s but may rise to near 80 on Wednesday.

A warm front will move through the area this morning and we will have clearing skies after the early morning clouds and fog. Temperatures will reach into the 80s. A cold front will come through tonight with no precipitation but a northwest flow of cooler and drier air will follow the front.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR APRIL 2024 RECORDS STARTED IN 1973.

This April the temperature averaged 52.8 degrees which was 1.5 degrees above normal. The highest temperature was 85 set on the 29th and the lowest temperature was 34 recorded on the 4th. Precipitation was near normal with 4.50″ most of the rainfall fell in the first half of the month. The month had no snowfall.
