Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 70 in Clifton down to 65 at High Point, Vernon and Wantage. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with dew points near 70. .81″ of rainfall has fallen since midnight at my station in Clifton.

The front that caused the overnight showers and thunderstorms will be moving offshore this morning and the rain should end by sunrise. Cloudy skies this morning will be followed by partial clearing this afternoon. there is still a low chance of an afternoon shower. Dew points that are near 70 this morning will fall to the 50s by this evening.

Wednesday will be a sunny day with seasonably warm temperatures, another cold front will come through dry in the afternoon.

Dry weather will continued Thursday through at least the beginning of next weekend. Temperatures will be at or slightly below normal Thursday and Friday and rise to above normal by Sunday.

Looking further ahead dry weather with unseasonably warm temperatures are likely much of next week.

A warm front moved to our north overnight and today will be a warmer day with continued humid conditions. There is a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible mainly Tuesday morning followed by clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to be warm but the humidity should lower by the afternoon.

A prolonged stretch of dry weather is expected Wednesday through the weekend. Temperatures will be near normal Wednesday through Friday with warmer readings expected for the weekend.

Moisture ahead of a warm front will cause cloudy skies with showers becoming likely. With the clouds and precipitation, highs today will only be in the mid 70s, but the humidity will be high with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70.

A good chance of showers Monday and Tuesday as the frontal system moves through the area, high temperatures will be warmer with continued humid conditions, however the humidity will drop by Tuesday night.

Fair weather is then expected Wednesday through the beginning of next weekend with low humidity and near seasonable temperatures.

Another enjoyable late summer day today with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and continued low humidity as high pressure will be in our area.

The high will move off the coast on Sunday and we should see an increase in clouds and humidity during the day and as moisture moves up from the south there will be a chance of showers for the afternoon and night.

The frontal system will be in our area Monday and Tuesday with showers likely along with high humidity, showers may be heavy at times.

High pressure then builds into the area and will dominate our weather Wednesday through Friday, with sunshine each day along with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

High pressure in our area will give us a nice day again today with sunny skies, seasonably warm temperatures and comfortable humidity.

Enjoyable late summer weather is expected for the weekend with seasonably warm temperatures continuing. Saturday will be sunny with dew points in the comfortable 50s. Clouds and an increase in humidity for Sunday but we should remain dry as high pressure slowly moves offshore.

Just like last week the best chance of showers will be Monday and Tuesday. The humidity will be high and some showers may be heavy at times.

Fair weather returns for Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure again builds into our area, temperatures will continue to be above normal but the humidity will lower.
