Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and once again it is quite chilly with temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 16 in Clifton down to 9 at Walpack and Sussex. Winds are a little brisk out of the south.

The Arctic high pressure that gave us the very cold weather the last couple of days is now moving offshore and a southerly flow of much milder air will move into our area. Daytime highs will be nearly 20 degrees warmer than yesterday, however with winds gusting to 25 mph will make it feel cooler.

Another milder than normal day on Thursday with partly sunny skies, less wind and highs in the 40s.

A cold front will cross the area on Friday as a low pressure develops well offshore. High temperatures in the 30s will drop into the 20s by sunset and possibly to the single digits by Saturday morning.

Very cold especially on Saturday with temperatures similar to yesterday with highs struggling to reach 20 degrees. Not quite as harsh on Sunday but a storm expected to develop will give us a chance of snow Sunday night. At this point most models have the storm move along the coast and some milder air may move in to change the snow to rain on Monday but since it is 5 days away the track and strength of the storm will probably change.

An Arctic cold front came through early this morning with some snow showers in the area. Today will be a sunny and very cold day with highs only around 20 degrees.

Wednesday morning will start off cold, but milder air will be moving into the area and high temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees warmer than today.

Thursday will be a partly sunny and seasonably mild day.

A storm will be moving well offshore on Friday giving us windy conditions, but we will remain dry.

Very cold on the weekend and another low pressure offshore will give us a chance of snow on Sunday, although most models have the storm too far to our east to give us any snow.

Luckily we did not have any freezing rain in our area yesterday morning as temperatures went above freezing before the precipitation began in the late afternoon.

A cold front came through early this morning and a brisk northwest flow of colder air is moving in. Temperatures in the low 30s early this morning will fall to the 20s during the day despite mostly sunny skies.

The coldest air of the season is likely tonight through Wednesday morning but we should remain dry. Early morning lows both Tuesday and Wednesday morning will be in the low teens with single digits further inland. Temperatures moderate Wednesday afternoon with continued mostly sunny skies.

Dry weather Thursday and Friday with temperatures slightly above normal on Thursday and near normal on Friday.

The weekend weather looks to be unsettled and chilly with a chance of snow.

A frontal system will cause cloudy skies today with some freezing rain mainly after 9 a.m. changing to plain rain this afternoon as temperatures moderate to near the 40 degree mark.

Arctic air will then move into the area on Monday with cold temperatures and brisk wind but skies will be mostly sunny. Daytime temperatures will fall through the 20s.

The coldest air of the season is expected Tuesday into Wednesday morning with highs on Tuesday only around 20 degrees and early morning lows Wednesday morning should be in the single digits. Mostly sunny during the day on Wednesday with slightly moderating temperatures.

Dry weather with temperatures returning to near normal Thursday and Friday.

A possible coastal storm may effect our area next week with a chance of rain or snow.

Strong high pressure over our area will give us a sunny but quite cold day today, winds will be gusty in this morning and then diminishing this afternoon.

Sunday will be a mostly cloudy day with rain showers likely possibly beginning as a mixture of sleet and freezing rain in the morning especially further inland. High temperatures will be around 40 degrees.

Mainly dry weather next week. Temperatures will be very cold Monday through Wednesday with Tuesday being the coldest day with overnight lows around 10 degrees and highs struggling to reach 20 degrees. Not as cold Thursday and Friday.
