Cloudy with rain this morning and showers this afternoon and evening! Pleasantly warm and dry tomorrow and on Wednesday!

Rain is falling in most of the area early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from mid to upper 60s, winds are a little brisk from the east.

A disturbance running along a front to our south will continue to give us rain most of this morning tapering off to showers this afternoon, temperatures with the clouds and an onshore wind will only rise into the 70s.

High pressure will build in for Tuesday and Wednesday giving us very pleasant late July weather with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable tempertures.

Another disturbance will give us a good chance of showers from Thursday afternoon that may persist into Saturday, temperatures will be near seasonable.

At this point Sunday looks to be a nice day with sunshine and continued near seasonable temperatures.

SUNDAY  JULY 23, 2017  5:52 A.M.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are some light showers over parts of the area, temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is still on the high side.

Overnight we received just over a half inch of rain with the heaviest rain falling around midnight.

Any showers will end this morning followed by some partly sunny skies this afternoon, high temperatures will only reach the low 80s as our five day heatwave ends.

A disturbance along a front to our south will give us more rain from late tonight into Monday morning, with the clouds and an onshore wind temperatures will even be cooler with highs in the 70s. Additional 1/2 to 1 inch of rainfall possible.

Fair weather with below normal temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure builds into the area.

Another front will give us a chance of showers on Thursday with somewhat warmer temperatures.

At this point Friday and Saturday look to be mainly dry with seasonable temperatures.

SATURDAY  JULY 22, 2017  5:33 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and it is quite warm once again with readings ranging from the upper 70s in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light.

Today we will be dry and temperatures should again break the 90 degree mark, humidity will be moderate.  We should have mostly sunny skies in the morning with increasing cloudiness this afternoon.  A disturbance will likely give us showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m. tonight into Sunday morning, some storms may be accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusty winds.

We will have a brief break in the showers Sunday afternoon with some sunshine possible but another weak front will give us a good chance of more showers and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.  Temperatures will be not as warm on Sunday but may rise to near 90 on Monday, humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

Dry weather will be with us from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday with cooler temperatures and more comfortable humidity.

Another front may give us showers Thursday afternoon into Friday, temperatures will be seasonably warm.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are slightly cooler than the last couple of mornings, ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, humidity is still rather high with dew points in the upper 60s.

Today will be another hot day but a little less humid in the afternoon, temperatures will once again reach the 90s and we should remain dry.  A heat advisory continues in effect.

Most of Saturday will be dry and hot but a front in the area will likely cause showers and thunderstorms at night.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue Sunday through Tuesday morning as the front will still be in the area.  Some storms may be accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusty winds.

Cooler and dry weather is expected from Tuesday afternoon through Friday as high pressure builds into the area.

THURSDAY  JULY 20, 2017  5:42 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and once again it is quite warm with readings ranging from the mid 70s in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is high.

Very hot weather again today and on Friday with highs in the 90s along with rather high humidity, a heat advisory is in effect.  A thunderstorm complex may move through late tonight giving us a chance of strong winds and heavy rain but that possibility is low.

Not quite as hot over the weekend but it will continued to be humid and with a front in the area, there is the likelihood of shower and thunderstorms activity from Saturday afternoon through Monday.

A cold front crossing the area Monday night will be followed by cooler and drier air for Tuesday that should last through Thursday.
